I have been working on a very sexy easter project and I am so excited to share it with you all. Cue sexalicious music: bow chikka bow wow!
The red lace onesie…the star pasties…the bare bunny…it’s all so seductive! Oh and did I mention that this lovely piece of art is for sale in my etsy shop? Oh baby…you know you want these marshmallow minxes hanging on your wall at your easter celebration. It certainly would be a conversation piece ;)
UPDATE!!! This item has been sold (wow that was fast!), but I would be very happy to make more of these slutty bunnies for anyone who asks!!!
In a fort under the stars played a lone ukulele.

I have been busy busy busy gearing up for my life as a self-employed entrepreneur! I have been stitching my booty off and here are some of my finished products. I’m working on more Gangstah Hankies and they’ll be in the etsy shop soon, but these six are there now so hurry hurry and get your hands on them before they’re gone!!!
Get some!
On Monday the weather made for a perfect almost-spring day…just what every girl wants on Valentine’s Day! I was able to bust out an outfit that consisted of a button-up shirt and a pea coat, instead of the usual long sleeve shirt, then pullover sweater, then zip-up sweatshirt, then big puffy jacket topped off with a beanie and a scarf. And I didn’t even wear tights under my jeans! I think my California body doesn’t take to the cold very well, hence all the extra layers, so thank goodness it is starting to warm up. It’s supposed to be 65* on Friday and I can guarantee you that all of the New York fashionistas will be showing off their freshly shaved legs :) Here is my valentine attire <3
A little while ago I decided to give some of my vintage hankies a little extra bit of personality by embroidering hip-hop lyrics onto them. They were just so darn cute that I had to put them up on etsy to pass along the amazingness. Within a couple days one had sold, and I was trying to figure out how to advertise and get them out there. Then all of a sudden the other 5 had sold to one person with a request for two more! I’m posting a picture of those hankies now to show all of the ones that I have done so far. If you like any of these, I would be happy to reproduce them for you but please know that they will be on a completely different hankie! Each sweet little vintage hankie is one of a kind, and because they are vintage they have been previously loved and may show signs of wear. However, I will never use one that has enough wear to be so noticeable that you won’t want to show it off. If you have a certain quote in mind I would be extremely happy to stitch it up for you :) Please contact me with any great ideas you may have!
These would make a great gift for your ghetto fabulous friends, or even as unique gifts for your bridal party! Another added benefit…hankies are eco-friendly and reusable! Use for blowing your nose, for wiping your hands, for washing off your makeup! Then just toss the machine (on the gentle cycle!) and your hankie will be as good as new!
(the last two items were rush orders so I didn’t have time to set up better pictures!)
AND look at this sweet mention from our friends over at Ivy and Aster!
We’ve hung the stockings, decorated the (miniature, NY appropriate) trees, and started listening to the holiday songs…now all that’s left to do is fill this apartment with smells of Christmas goodies baking in the oven!
Today we spent the day attempting to see Black Swan at a crowded theater, refunding our tickets and deciding on another day, eating delicious almond-crusted french toast at MUD, thrifting some really cool books to add to our (and by “our” I mean “my”) library, and trying to get my etsy shop up and running! I have a few really great things to sell for the holidays and I hope you find them sweet enough to purchase ;) Here is a sneak peak of the projects I’ve been working on, and hopefully the shop will be up by tonight so that you can grab your faves before they’re gone!
Here’s what I wore today…I’m loving my new knit beanie from urbs and stiletto booties from wet seal!!!
and the sweetest picture ever of my honey pie!

Hello November…nice to see you. It seems as though you’ve brought your friends Rain and Gloom. They weren’t really invited, but I guess they can come in. I hear back in LA it’s 97 degrees today…I see that Sunshine and Happiness had a better party to go to. Yes, I’m bitter…and cold.
October came and went so fast, and with it of course we added a bulk of awesomeness to the shop, got a cold that hasn’t really left, and ate way too much candy than is ever necessary. We still have a lot of it left, and I’m actually eating a Reese’s peanut butter cup right now so I guess I don’t feel too bad about the situation. Halloween was so much fun, we actually went to a party this year so we had to come up with super wonderful costumes. Being a California Girl at heart, it seemed an appropriate choice to be a Katy Perry confection from her Candy Land inspired video. I made my dress, bought a wig and some sparkly tights and et voila! Tim decided that dressing up as a pimped out Snoop Dogg wouldn’t do…so he chose to be a vintage candy man and looked so utterly adorable that I just wanted to eat him up! We danced the night away and had a blast :)
Ever since our wedding was featured on Green Wedding Shoes, I have received tons of emails from brides-to-be asking about my veil. I was a little hesitant to make one for someone else because mine was kind of thrown together at the last minute, but after about the tenth email I realized that maybe I should give it a try. Caroline contacted me raving about my ivory peony birdcage veil and how it was exactly what she wanted and I just knew that I had to make her dream come true! I scoured the flea markets for a beautiful vintage brooch until I found a beautiful deep blue Austrian crystal one from the 1950s since Caroline’s colors are blue and yellow. And she gets her “something old”, “something new”, AND “something blue” all in one item…SCORE!
I loved how it turned out SO MUCH that I am going to make a few more and put them up on my etsy shop. And if you are a bride out there who is looking for a vintage twist, please contact me about making a custom veil for you! Imagine the possibilities: any color/kind of flower, any color brooch, all tied together with a sweet little birdcage veil!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! My first Thanksgiving as a wife and my first Thanksgiving as a hostess with the mostess. The husby, our good friend Scott, and I will gather together in our humble 275 square foot apartment and sit on the couch and lonely chair with our plates in our laps and enjoy cruelty-free mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and celebration roast, followed by a (hopefully!) delicious dessert of tea-poached pears in a chocolate sauce topped with candied pecans. YUM!!!!!! I can’t wait to put on my apron and start cooking!
Speaking of the holidays, I’ve been working on some sweet Christmas onesies for Sugar Darling:Sugar Baby and I even set up an etsy shop! There are only a few items so far, but custom orders are my specialty! Here are the two designs that I’ve stitched up so far.

We can’t thank Mark and Candice Brooke enough for the most wonderful gift we could ever recieve: beautiful wedding pictures to look back on and remember the happiest day of our lives. To express our gratitude, I sent them a package of onesies that I embroidered especially for their badass rock star baby Wyatt!
